Nikki Hunter is the award winning Artist behind Huntress Artistry. With a deep passion for animals, there is nothing that inspires Nikki more than bringing to life animal's personalities, through art.

From her farm in Mudgee, Nikki has a background in ecology and a life time of rescuing and rehoming animals. She has been a part of wildlife rescue for decades, also rescuing and providing forever homes to domestic animals. 

​

Nikki feels that it is her passion for animals, having worked hands on with a variety of species, from Tasmanian Devils, to Corroboree Frogs, to training Pigs and Donkeys and living with Parrots from a young age that she has a unique perspective in portraying animals through art. 

​

At Huntress Artistry, Nikki aims to provide quality products that celebrate animals and their personalities and ecology. Always trying to push the boundaries in her learning, Nikki draws with alcohol ink markers. This art medium was initially developed in Japan for Manga and Anime. Crossing this medium over into fine art to draw animals is something that is both challenging and rewarding.

Also adopting coloured pencils and pyrography (wood burning) Nikki is always looking for unique and beautiful ways to portray animals and the natural environment.
